Term 2/3 2026

Pioneer Basketball Club’s Primary Winter Competition is designed for Tamariki | children in Year 5-8, providing an exciting, fun, supportive basketball environment. The program runs during Terms 2/3, with each team participating in 12 games over the 2 terms.

Days of Competitions

• Monday – Year 7&8 Open + Girls Grade
• Wednesday – Year 5/6 Open + Girls Grade
• Thursday – Year 5/6 Beginner (Lowered to 9ft Hoops)
• Friday – Year 7/8 Open + Competitive Grade

Cost: Team Registration – $523.00 +GST

Cost: Individual Registration – $105.00 +GST

You can enter as many teams as you would like, but we are limited to 4 bye teams per night, so if we get over this amount we will need to go through our usual processes to cut teams, hopefully this won’t need to happen. (We would suggest 8-10 players per team)

  • Term 2 – 4th, 11th, 18th, 25th May, 8th, 15th, 22nd June
  • Term 3 – 27th, 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th August (31st August, 7th September Catch up Days if Needed)
• Wednesday Nights – (Pioneer Stadium + Hillmorton High School)
  • Term 2 – 6th, 13th, 20th, 27th May, 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th June
  • Term 3 – 29th, 5th, 12th, 19th August (26th August, 2nd September Catch up days if Needed)
• Thursday Nights – ( Pioneer Stadium)
  • Term 2 – 7th, 14th, 21st, 28th May, 4th, 11th, 18th, 25th June
  • Term 3 – 30th, 6th, 13th, 20th August (27th August, 3rd September Catch up days if Needed)
• Friday Nights – (Pioneer Stadium)
  • Term 2 – 8th, 15th, 22nd, 29th May, 5th, 12th, 19th, 26th June
  • Term 3 – 31st, 7th, 14th, 21st August (28th August, 4th September Catch up days if needed)
