South Island Primary Tournament

Looking for a chance to represent Pioneer at a South Island Tournament?

We are hosting Trials in term 1 to select teams to go to the SIPT in Rangiora, hosted by North Canterbury Basketball Association.

What is SIPT?

SIPT is a representative tournament run by NCBA. They host an annual tournament for children in Years 5-8. Schools, clubs and associations from the South Island are invited to enter teams into the Year 5/6 3×3 or Year 7/8 5v5.

For many players, it’s their first taste of tournament play and it’s a fantastic way to upskill, meet new friends and play against other people from around the south Island.

SIPT is a development tournament. Pioneer select coaches, referees and players to represent our club and develop their skills.

It’s important to know that SIPT is separate to Senior Club and the trials, trainings and processes we use are not related. Players in SIPT are still very welcome to trial for Senior club.
