An ideal starting point for tamariki | children to learn basketball or elevate their skills! Hoops Academy focuses on key skills like ball-handling, shooting, passing, defense, and game strategy, all while building confidence and having fun. Each term offers a 6-8 week program led by experienced coaches.

Hoops Academy – Term 1, 2026

Dates: Rātū | Tuesdays – 17th, 24th Feb, 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th, 31st March (7 Weeks)

Mini Magic (Years 0-2): 3:30pm – 4:10pm
Junior Jammers (Years 3-4): 4:15pm – 4:55pm
Girls Group (Year 5-8): 5:00pm – 5:40pm
Senior Slammers (Years 5-8): 5:45pm – 6:25pm
